BEACHWOOD, Ohio – Cut151 Supper Club is closing.
The restaurant, at 3355 Richmond Road in Beachwood, will serve its last meal Sunday, June 5.
In a news release, owner Brad Friedlander attributed the closing to a combination of labor shortage, supply-chain bottleneck and rising food costs.
“Inflation is just ridiculous now,” he said in the release. “Sadly, the state of the economy and the world we live in since the pandemic started has created the perfect storm that has forced us to close. COVID-19′s many challenges simply proved insurmountable to our business. My biggest concern is for our employees. We are a family so we are making every effort to make sure that everyone obtains new employment.”
Freidlander had converted the short-lived Rosso Italia into Cut151 in November 2021.
This year has carved a rough patch business-wise for the veteran restaurateur. In April, he announced he was closing Blu, the Restaurant, adjacent to Cut151.
The restaurants could accommodate about 350 diners combined, with additional space on the connecting patio.
