Jeff Van Gundy, Adrian Wojnarowski test positive for COVID-19, out for NBA Finals Game 1 coverage

On Wednesday, the Golden State Warriors listed a trio of players as questionable for Thursday night's Game 1 of the 2022 NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics. While fans may have to wait until closer to tip-off to find out if those players will be in action, it was reported Thursday morning that some notable media members will not be inside Chase Center for the series opener, while another is still trying to be cleared.

Mike Breen missed Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Celtics and Miami Heat on Sunday , and during the broadcast of the contest, hosts of analysts and fans took to social media and commented on Jeff Van Gundy's perceived raspy voice. Marchand added that while Van Gundy and ESPN insider Adrian "Woj" Wojnarowski will be sidelined for Game 1, it'll either be Breen or Mark Jones joining Mark Jackson on Thursday night's ABC broadcast.

According to the New York Post, Wojnarowski could re-join his co-workers once the series shifts to Boston for Game 3 next week, or possibly work remotely.
