Lance Bass Says He Still Can't Contact Britney Spears Post Conservatorship

Lance Bass revealed he can't get in touch with Britney Spears even after her conservatorship was terminated earlier this year. In a recent interview with Page Six, the singer explained he has tried to reach out to the pop star to no avail since a Los Angeles judge terminated the arrangement last November.

"Not at all," he told the gossip column. "It's just, you know, there's a wall around her. And for some reason, those people don't want her old friends involved with her life." However, E! News reports that Lance has "fallen out of touch" with Britney over time and a source says the singer's phone number has changed since her conservatorship ended. The insider suggested to E! News that Lance "probably doesn't" have the correct number.

Last summer, Lance spoke out about Britney's then-active conservatorship battle against her father and sister Jamie Spears. At that time he mentioned he had not spoken with the "Toxic" singer in several years. "We've been kept away from each other for quite a while, but I don't know exactly what she needs," he said on a podcast. "But I do know that she, to me, what I see is sane enough to pick her own people and the only thing that I don't subscribe to is that she's sending cryptic messages and all that type of stuff."

Lance and Britney's relationship goes deeper than friendship though. The NSYNC member recently discovered the two are sixth cousins once removed. "That is so crazy though, 'cause, I mean, I feel like she's my little sister and this whole time she's been my little cousin," he said. "And it makes sense because we were born an hour from each other."
