Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 heavily emphasized Jamie Campbell Bower's Henry Creel who was later on revealed as Vecna. And now that the show found its perfect big bad and the origin of the Upside Down was already divulged, it's now up to the Hawkins crew how they will conquer Vecna and officially seal the gates of the evil dimension on the show's Volume 2.

Now, in a recent interview, producer Shawn Levy shares a promising update about the upcoming volume.

In a recent interview with THR, producer Shawn Levy sat down to discuss the groundbreaking fourth season of Stranger Things. When asked what to expect with Season 4’s Volume 2, Levy noted that although it may satisfy the fans, it would also be ‘a punch in the heart.’

"I’ll just tell you that we are hard at work on volume two," Levy said. "There’s so much being written as far as the runtimes of these episodes, and the hefty runtime of episode nine, in particular. Having seen both those finale episodes, they are as emotional as they are cinematic. Holy shit, they are definitely a treat for the eyes, but they punch you right in the heart. So, that’s what I’ll say about that."

Given Levy's statement, it looks like the fans have to brace themselves for the season's emotional conclusion which obviously indicates that one or more beloved characters will probably die. Sadly, Volume 1 ended with Max (Sadie Sink) still being under Vecna's curse, Nancy (Natalia Dyer) being chased by Vecna in the Upside Down, and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is still trying to regain her powers which implies that the Hawkins gang’s chances of surviving the spine-chilling villain remain distant.

Aside from that, now that the Hawkins crew constantly grows with a few cast additions, it might also be the perfect time to kill some beloved fan characters. Whoever that is, will surely unfold when Volume two arrives.

Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 is now available to stream on Netflix, while Volume 2 will premiere on July 1.
