Borussia Dortmund are said to be considering Borna Sosa as an option in their bid to bolster their squad at left-back.

It has been a fairly busy summer so far for Borussia Dortmund, who have already made seven signings. The Black and Yellows’ transfer business is more than 50% complete, but reinforcements are still needed in a few positions.

One area where Borussia Dortmund could bolster their squad is left-back. And BILD claim that VfB Stuttgart left-back Borna Sosa is on BVB’s list of targets. According to the tabloid, Sosa has a release clause in his contract and he could leave Stuttgart for a fee of around 25 million euros this summer.

Sosa has established himself as one of the top left-backs in the Bundesliga. He is also said to be attracting the interest of the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea, FC Barcelona and Manchester United.

The 24 year old is an attack-minded full-back who is more than capable of making an impact going forward. He finished the recently concluded season with nine assists and two goals in 30 appearances. Sosa has three years left on his contract with Stuttgart.

Borussia Dortmund have also been linked with moves for TSG Hoffenheim’s David Raum, Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Ramy Bensebaini and Chelsea’s Ian Maatsen in recent weeks. But before they can bring in a new left-back, they will need to sell at least one of Raphael Guerreiro and Nico Schulz.

Guerreiro’s future remains unclear, with his contract set to expire at the end of next season. While Schulz is free to leave the club this summer.
