City extends deadline for responses to Economic and Workforce Development community engagement survey

Survey will be open from May 16 to June 12, 2022

HONOLULU – The City and County of Honolulu is extending the deadline for responses to a survey focusing on Economic and Workforce Development. The survey can be found at oneoahu.org/frf. This survey is the second in the City’s continuing effort to gather community input on priorities for programs using State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (SLFRF) monies and invites the community to engage with the City on how coronavirus relief funds will be invested in Oʻahu’s recovery.

The input received from the public, along with policy direction from the Honolulu City Council and feedback from other community stakeholders, will help inform decision-making for federal recovery funds. The City has already received $193 million in SLFRF funds and anticipates receiving an additional $193 million this year. For up-to-date information on spending and allocation for SLFRF-funded projects, please visit oneoahu.org/frf/#dashboard.

Nearly 1,200 Oʻahu residents completed the Initial Fiscal Recovery Fund survey when it was distributed between January and February of 2022. In addition to economic and workforce development, local residents identified public health and access to housing as their three highest-ranking priorities. Surveys over the coming months will focus on each of the SLFRF priority areas. To read the full results of the initial survey, visit oneoahu.org/frf.

The survey will be open to the public from May 16 to June 12, 2022. While the City will share the overall results of the survey, the City values people’s privacy and all individual responses will be kept confidential.
