Kyogo Furuhashi makes incredibly honest Celtic admission

Kyogo Furuhashi is one of the most popular Celtic players in a long, long time and it is hard to believe that he has not even been at the club for a year. The Japanese star has made an incredible impact at Parkhead though. Despite having to spend significant time on the sidelines through injuries, he was able to score a Scottish League Cup winning brace against Hibernian in the final last December and had a major contribution to the Hoops’ Premiership triumph as well.

Overall, Celtic fans must be delighted with the job that Kyogo has done since coming in and would be hoping that he can continue to perform like this moving forward as well.

The Japanese star himself though seems to be already looking towards the future and improving his game further.

Yes, like every player, Kyogo has areas where he can be better and it is great to see that he recognises that as well. That is the first step of improving. As reported by Glasgow Live, he told Soccer King:

"“It’s been a fun year. It seemed like a long time, and it ended in a blink of an eye, so it was very fulfilling, but I think there are still many challenges.“I realised that I still have to grow.”"

It is safe to say that Kyogo was one of the best players in all of Scotland, and if not for injuries, he might have been the very best.

That is one area of his game that the Japanese star might need to have a look at. He had two separate major injuries through the course of the season and ultimately, did not end up playing a lot of football. Hopefully, we will get a full season from Kyogo next time around.

Another area that he could get a bit better at is his finishing, which has been pretty hot and cold throughout the course of the season. If he can improve that aspect of his game, he might very well be the best player in the country by a mile come next season.
