RUSSELL COUNTY, Kan.—One person died in an accident just before 3:30p.m. Saturday in Russell County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1994 GMC passenger vehicle driven by Aaron T. Bostick, 20, Bastrop, Louisiana, was westbound on Interstate 70 two miles east of U.S. 281.
The driver lost control of the vehicle. It traveled off the road, across the median and onto eastbound Interstate 70.
An eastbound 2016 International semi driven by Alan K. Putnam, 63, Tipton, Missouri , struck the GMC.
Bostick was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary. Putnam was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
