Cincinnati Reds outfielder Tommy Pham slapped San Francisco Giants outfielder Joc Pederson over a fantasy football beef. But where does it rank among other iconic slaps.

There was a ton of attention on the San Francisco Giants-Cincinnati Reds game, and it was over what took place during batting practice. According to a report from The Athletic, Tommy Pham slapped Joc Pederson across the face, leading to both teams intervening in the outfield. As it turns out, the reason for the slap was over fantasy football.

Pederson spoke to the media, and said that the two had a disagreement in a group text, where Pham accused him of cheating by using an injured reserve loophole. Yup, that was the reason, and Pham received a three game suspension and a fine for open-hand slapping Pederson across the face.
