10 Arrested On Drug, Theft Charges In Reseda

Deputies arrested 10 suspects in Reseda earlier this week, while they were searching for an individual allegedly responsible for a burglary in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Crime Impact Team (CIT) deputies have been actively searching for a man with several felony warrants who is reportedly responsible for a burglary that occurred in the Santa Clarita Valley, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the SCV Sheriff’s Station

Follow-up investigation led deputies to the 17800 block of Lorne Street in Reseda Tuesday, where they observed the suspect enter a residence with several other men and women, according to Arriaga.

“A probation compliance search was done, resulting in the seizure of narcotics and property believed to be stolen,” Arriaga said.

Ultimately 10 suspects, including John Walker, the man deputies were originally looking for, were arrested, Arriaga said.

Several of the suspects had warrants, others were booked on various charges of possession of a controlled substance and receiving stolen property, among other charges, Arriaga added.

All 10 suspects were booked into the SCV Sheriff’s Station, some remain in custody, while others were subsequently released on citation.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
