Weaver (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Saturday.
The move clears space for Kyle Nelson to return from the COVID-19 injured list. It means Weaver won't be eligible to return before June 7, but it's unclear whether or not he'd be ready to return by then. He's been pitching in extended spring games but has yet to embark on a rehab assignment. When he eventually rejoins the big-league roster, he's expected to fill a relief role.
