Queens man arrested for DWI with children in car in East Meadow
Police tell News 12 an officer was on DWI enforcement Friday night when around 10 p.m. he noticed 45-year-old Wilfredo Figueroa driving erratically westbound on the Hempstead Turnpike.

2h agoA Queens man was arrested Friday for driving while intoxicated under Leandra's Law in East Meadow.
Police tell News 12 an officer was on DWI enforcement Friday night when around 10 p.m. he noticed 45-year-old Wilfredo Figueroa-Figueroa driving erratically westbound on the Hempstead Turnpike.
After police pulled Figueroa-Figueroa over, they noticed a 4-year-old and a 13-year-old in the back of the car not wearing seatbelts.
Police say Figueroa-Figueroa smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.
The kids were released to a relative and Figueroa-Figueroa is being arraigned Saturday in 1st District court.
