FALLEN SERVICE MEMBERS KILLED SINCE 9/11. KAREN: IT WAS THE PROMPT FOR ALL AGES AT THE PARKITH W 200 ADULTS AT POLAR PARK WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES SPENT THE EVENING DANCING AND CELEBRATING A RITE OF PASSAGE. MANY ADULTS WITH IDD NEVER HAD THE CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE PROM NIT.GH SO A NON-PROFIT GROUP CALLED THRIVE SUPPORT & ADVOCACY DECIDED TO HOST ONE. IT WAS ALSO A FUNDRAISER TO HELP SUPPORT THRIVE’S SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS IN CTRALEN MASSACHUSETTS AND METROW

A nonprofit empowering youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities hosted "A Prom For All Ages at Polar Park" Friday night. The dance brought together 200 people for an evening of food, music and dancing, and featured a red carpet walk and photo shoots.Many adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities never have the chance to experience the magic and wonder of this rite-of-passage event. The prom's goal was to give them an experience to enjoy. The nonprofit Thrive Support & Advocacy hosts social and recreational programs for youths and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in central Massachusetts and MetroWest.
