Castle star Jon Huertas said he would love to return to the show for another season or a reboot following its untimely cancellation in 2016.
"I would do something Castle-related, for sure, because we didn’t get to end it on our terms," he said in an exclusive interview with Digital Spy.
Jon, who has recently starred in the ABC drama This Is Us, which has just concluded its final season, compared the show's ending to how it went down with Castle: "It wasn't like This Is Us. We were gearing up for another season – season 9. So it would be very interesting to maybe do something Castle-related. It would be cool. I'd do it."

Castle was a popular detective dramedy set in New York starring Nathan Fillion as the crime fighting protagonist and mystery novelist Richard Castle, and Stana Katic as the homicide detective Kate Beckett in lead roles along with Jon Huertas, Seamus Dever and Tamala Jones.
Nathan Fillion recently teased a possible reunion or a reboot of the fan favourite show by posting a picture of the New York City skyline on Instagram with the caption "Start spreading the news…"
The premise of the show was that Castle was brought in to assist Beckett and the New York Police department on a copycat murder based on his novel. He is then permitted to shadow Beckett and the NYPD to gain inspiration for his new novel series.

They clash initially due to their varying personalities, but end up becoming friends and then lovers who get married towards the end of season 7. The show ran for eight seasons — and was slated to return for the ninth –- before it was abruptly cancelled in 2016 after Katic's departure.
When asked if he would watch another season or reboot of Castle, Jon said he was all for it: "Absolutely".
