WORCESTER, Mass. - It was a night to remember at Polar Park on Friday as Thrive Support & Advocacy hosted their Prom for All Ages

The nonprofit rolled out the red carpet for the event held for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The fundraiser also helped to raise money for Thrive Support & Advocacy social and recreational programs.

The prom featured food, music and dancing, and organizers said it was all worth it to see the smiles on the faces of those in attendance.

“You know when you look in there and there is just such a glow and to see how they have all suffered so much through COVID and how COVID negatively impacted them,” Sean Rose, Thrive president and CEO, said. “And their spirit to see them in there dancing, laughing, smiling, taking pictures, walking the red carpet. It just doesn’t get any better than that.”

Thrive was expecting 225 people to be in attendance for last night’s event and they say that they hope their prom becomes an annual event.
