PETOSKEY — Join the Petoskey District Library from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 3 on the outdoor labyrinth to kickoff summer reading and Downtown's Summer Celebration Weekend.

Pick up your summer reading bingo card and hear what library programs and events are planned for the summer, play in the drum circle with Lori Fithian and Drummunity, learn about STEM, and get a new complimentary book from the Friends of the Petoskey Library.

A Drummunity circle is a high energy and interactive program for all ages. Lori Fithian, drum circle facilitator and workshop leader, will bring her collection of hand drums and percussion toys to transform the community into a "drummunity" — a word she invented for the community-building that happens when people come together around a circle of drums. Using hand drums, percussion, and simple drum circle games, Fithian creates a positive, non-competitive experience for people of all ages and abilities to share.
