Kingston woman rolls car over, charged with DWI

TOWN OF ULSTER – A 44-year-old Kingston woman has been arrested by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office following a single rollover car accident.

The driver, Kathleen Barnard, was charged with misdemeanors of aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated.

At about 3:50 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, deputies responded to the area of 310 Sawkill Road in the Town of Ulster for a report of a single car rollover accident.

They located a vehicle on its side and with assistance of the fire department, helped her out.

The subsequent investigation alleges Bernard was driving in an intoxicated conditions when the vehicle left the road, went into a ditch and rolled over.

She was released on an appearance ticket returnable to Ulster County Court at a later date.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by Town of Ulster Police, State Police, Ulster Hose Co. 5, Sawkill Fire Department and Mobile Life Support Services.
