Five people in Allegheny County face charges for separate instances of gun trafficking and related firearm offenses, according to a news release from Attorney General Josh Shapiro’s office.

Four of the five arrests stem from the straw purchases of firearms, or buying firearms for someone who is prohibited from owning them.

• Law enforcement officials began investigating Craig Joyner and Devante Ferguson, both from Pittsburgh, at this year’s Monroeville Gun Show, where authorities say Joyner illegally purchased a firearm for Ferguson.

• A separate investigation found that Jalaan Williams, from West Mifflin, bought seven guns for her ex-boyfriend, who is a prohibited purchaser.

• Similarly, police allege that Terri Wilson, from Pittsburgh, purchased a gun for her husband, also a prohibited purchaser.

• The fifth person arrested was Audra Voye, who police say falsely filed a burglary report on the whereabouts of three of her firearms. Voye, from Pittsburgh, allegedly knew who had her firearms, two of which were found at crime scenes in Pittsburgh. The office also alleges that Voye falsified state and federal firearms forms.

The attorney general’s office made arrests in cooperation with the Monroeville Police Department and Pittsburgh Police Department.

Wilson, Williams and Voye were charged with sale or transfer of firearms and tampering with public records or information. Joyner faces charges for sale or transfer of firearms as well, and both he and Ferguson were charged with criminal conspiracy.

The Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office will prosecute the cases, the release says.
