The Elizabeth Township Fire Department tweeted Friday evening that they received a report of a downed plane in the Skillet Hill Road Area.
When they got to the scene they were able to confirm that an aircraft was down, and rescue operations began.
According to police, one male was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
There was no one else on the plane, and there is no word what caused the crash.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are on the scene and investigating the situation.
