Piers Morgan to take a month off from his Talk TV show... as programme's viewing figures plunge
- Piers Morgan show averaged more than 300,000 viewers for his debut episode
- Viewing figures plunged with recent episodes getting about 30,000 viewers
- The presenter will not be on the channel for about four weeks in late summer
Piers Morgan will have about a month off from his Talk TV show later in the summer, as the programme struggles to attract the same audiences that tuned in when it first launched.
The former Good Morning Britain star, 57, averaged more than 300,000 viewers for his debut episode on April 25, in which he interviewed the former US president Donald Trump.
But since then the viewing figures have plunged, with recent episodes getting about 30,000 viewers.

It has emerged that the presenter will not be on the channel for about four weeks in late summer, as a result of pre-scheduled holiday along with filming commitments for a true crime documentary series he is making.
Earlier this year, former GB News chairman and lead presenter Andrew Neil never returned from an extended holiday after falling out with his bosses.
