The Edmonton Oilers knocked off their provincial rival, the Calgary Flames, in overtime on Thursday night to advance to their first Western Conference Final since 2006.

Connor McDavid scored the overtime winner in Game 5 to record his twelfth point of the series and 26th of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. McDavid's superstar teammate,
Leon Draisaitl, is also sitting at 26 points following an incredible 17 points in five games against the Flames.
After the game, Hockey Hall of Famer Teemu Selanne took to Twitter to give praise to McDavid.
