SHIPPENSBURG – The Cumberland Valley girls 4x100 relay team set a school record time in a 3A preliminary qualifying heat Friday afternoon at the PIAA Track and Field Championships at Shippensburg University’s Seth Grove Stadium.
The Eagles quartet of Ashley Ross, Riley Ebersole, Quincey Robertson and Mia Boardman crossed the finish line first in 48.30 in heat two, which was good enough to place third behind Cheltenham Area and South Fayette for Saturday’s finals.
And, the same four CV ladies advanced to the final of the 3A 4x400 relays by winning their heat in 3:55.72.
