Several events will take place in San Joaquin County on Monday to mark Memorial Day. Here are a few:

Memorial Day at Cherokee Memorial Park: 10:30 a.m. Monday. Cherokee Memorial Park & Funeral Home, Harney Lane at Highway 99. Cherokee Memorial Park's annual event will feature a color guard and gun salute, a missing-man formation fly-by and guest speaker Thad Forester, the author of "My Brother In Arms: The Exceptional Life of Senior Airman Mark A. Memorial Day Service at Parkview Cemetery: 11 a.m. Monday. Parkview Cemetery, 3661 French Camp Road, Manteca. VFW Luneta Post 52 is hosting a memorial service at Parkview Cemetery to remember and honor the service members who gave their lives in service to the United States. The event will feature a gun salute by the VFW Post 52 Honor Guard, guest speaker San Joaquin County Supervisor Chuck Winn and more. Memorial Day tribute in downtown Stockton: 1-2 p.m. Monday. Stockton Memorial Civic Auditorium, 525 N Center St., Stockton. VFW Luneta Post 52 and the American Legion Karl Ross Post No. 16 host a Memorial Day tribute to the fallen.
