It does not get any more real and heated than the feud between Gervonta β€˜Tank’ Davis and Rolly Romero. The brash, young knockout artists have been at each other’s throats all media week.

Both men are known for their incredible knockout power and tomorrow they will let their skills do the talking as Davis will defend his WBA (regular) lightweight title against Romero at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Bad Blood Fuels WBA Lightweight Championship Battle

This fight was originally set to go down in December of last year, but Romero was dragged into a sexual assault case that made him pull out of the bout and replaced by Isaac β€˜Pitbull’ Cruz.

Romero’s case was eventually dropped and he was cleared to pursue the fight he was originally set to participate.

Meanwhile for β€˜Tank”, the Baltimore superstar had to deal with more than expected out of β€˜Pitbull’ Cruz. Though it did not come easy, Davis showed a Championship level grit and heart in the 12th round to win by unanimous decision.

Now having dealt with Cruz, the 27-year-old Mayweather promotion product gets to settle the score and quiet all the haters.

As for Romero, leading up to this fight, his last appearances came in 2021 with a pair of victories. One over Avery Sparrow and another over Anthony Yigit, both before the final bell could ring.

For Romero, this is an opportunity at superstardom. It is the goal he has had on his mind for years now.

Bad blood aside, it is also a way for both men to lay claim to who is going to be knocking at the door for the winner of the pending undisputed lightweight showdown between WBC Champion Devin Haney and WBA, WBO, IBF and Ring Magazine champion George Kambosos.

Tune in this Saturday and watch the story unfold in the latest and most fierce chapter of this stacked lightweight division.
