A 45-year-old male motorcyclist from Big Rapids died at the scene of a fatal accident at the intersection of Drew and Old State Road.

The accident occurred on Friday, May 27 around 11 a.m.

Authorities at the scene learned that the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Drew Road when a GMC pick-up truck, driven by a 58-year-old man from Remus, pulled away from a stop sign. The motorcyclist was unable to stop and struck the pickup truck.

Once the officers from the Isabella County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene, they were informed that the motorcyclist went into cardiac arrest and later was pronounced deceased.

The motorcyclist who passed on as a result of the crash was Kelly Boskovich and the driver of the pick-up truck was Kevin Sellers.

According to the authorities, the reasoning for the accident was due to a failure to yield as well as the fact that the driver of the pick-up truck was operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

The driver of the pick-up truck was arrested for operating under the influence of alcohol, causing death.
