ISABELLA COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A 45-year-old man from Big Rapids has died after his motorcycle crashed into a pickup truck, according to the Isabella County Sheriff's Office.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Drew Road and Old State Road at 11:05 a.m., Friday.
Upon arrival at the scene, a deputy was informed by first responders that the motorcycle driver was in cardiac arrest. The man was pronounced dead a short time later, police say.
After investigating police say the motorcycle was travelling eastbound on Drew Road when a pickup truck pulled away from a stop sign. The motorcyclist was unable to stop and struck the pickup truck.
Police say the driver of the pickup truck, a 58-year-old man from Remus, was intoxicated. He was arrested for operating under the influence of alcohol causing death.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the two men.
