Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash.
According to police, shortly after 12:15 p.m., officers responded to Fingerboard Road at Baker Valley Road in Frederick, Maryland for reports of a multi-vehicle crash.
A preliminary investigation revealed a Dodge Charger was traveling west when the driver lost control of the vehicle, veered into the eastbound lanes and crashed into a motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle was declared dead at the scene. The victim's identity has yet to be announced, due to pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the dodge remained at the scene.
According to a preliminary investigation, impaired driving and speeding were not factors in the crash. However, the weather may have played a role in the driver losing control of the Dodge.
