Car falls into creek in Topeka, driver taken to hospital

TOPEKA (KSNT) – A car rolled into a creek in southeast Topeka on Friday leaving one man with minor injuries.

The Topeka Police Department and the Topeka Fire Department both responded to the scene of SE 37th Street and SE Evans where a car fell into a creek after striking a guardrail. The call for this incident came in at 2:07 p.m. according to Shawnee County Emergency Dispatch.

The driver was taken to a nearby hospital via ambulance according to TPD’s Watch Commander. The car was towed out of the creek and the scene has since been cleared.
