Mercersburg man reported missing by mother, police seek public's help finding him

MERCERSBURG, Pa. — Mercersburg police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing borough man whose mother lost contact with him in March.

Jaime Jay Mickus Jr., 34, was reported missing to the Mercersburg Police Department by his concerned mother, Linda Mae Mickus, of Broadalbin, N.Y., on May 10. She last heard from him via text message on March 22, police said in a news release Friday.

Police learned that he told some people that he was going back to New York, and others that he was going to Florida, the release states.

The Mercersburg Police Department is seeking the public's help to locate Jaime Jay Mickus Jr.

Mickus is described as a white male, 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighing 175 pounds. He has red hair and hazel eyes, and was employed by the Target warehouse in Chambersburg, the release states.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Mercersburg police at 717-328-0150 or the Franklin County 911 Center at 717-263-1611.
