Tottenham leading free transfer race for Ivan Perisic with Inter winger to turn down Chelsea for Antonio Conte reunion

TOTTENHAM are closing in on the signing of Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic.

Spurs are set for a busy summer with a number of incoming and outgoings and Antonio Conte has identified the Croatian winger as a key target.

The Italian worked with Perisic at Inter as they were crowned Serie A champions last year, before joining Spurs this season.

The 33-year-old is in high demand, with his San Siro contract expiring.

But Spurs have emerged as favourites, with Perisic keen on a reunion with his former boss in a deal worth around £75,000-a-week.

Chelsea and Juventus are also interested in the World Cup runner-up.

The Blues were even said to have invited him for a medical ahead of a switch to Stamford Bridge.

But Tottenham appear to have stolen a march on their London rivals after securing Champions League football on the final day of the season.

Plus the fact the Conte committed his future to the club after positive talks with managing football director Fabio Paratici this week.

Conte will be handed a large transfer kitty after owners Enic injected £150million into the club.

And Perisic is not the only player the Italian is hoping to raid his old side for.

Alessandro Bastoni is also on his wishlist with Conte keen to add a left side centre-back to his squad.
