Kemp Road crash closes U.S. 131 Friday

PETOSKEY — An accident involving at least two vehicles has temporarily shut down U.S. 131 near Kemp Road in Petoskey today, Friday, May 27. 

At the time this article was published, portions of the highway were still shut down for through traffic, according to Michigan State Police Seventh District Public Officer and Lieutenant Derrick Carroll.

Carroll was unable to give further updates as the officers are still on the scene and an investigation is currently in progress. However, at least one person involved in the incident was transported to McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey.
