Kyle Wright has been spectacular this season for the Atlanta Braves. He has arguably been the team's best starter through his first nine appearances. The 26-year-old has flourished, but he's been essentially doing it on his own to this point in the season. The Midday Show discussed how dominant he has been, but also that he needs some help.

Through his nine starts, Wright is among the best in baseball. His wins above replacement (WAR) comes in at third in the Majors (1.9). He has a 2.68 ERA with 53.2 innings pitched, he has struck out an incredible 37-percent of the batters he's faced and issued a mere 18 walks. Wright is finally rewarding the organization that put so faith in him with strong performances every time he steps out there.

"He's been excellent this season," Andy Bunker said. "But he doesn't get any run support!"

For as good as he's been on the mound, his offense has been on the other end of the spectrum. The offense has never scored more than three runs for a Kyle Wright start and they have averaged a miniscule 1.8 runs per outing.

On top of the woes from the lineup, he also hasn't had a whole heck of a lot of help from his bullpen. Take last night for example, he was pulled in the sixth inning with two runners on and two outs, but Will Smith came on and gave up a double.

Kyle Wright has taken the next step, but the only thing holding him back seems to be the guys in his own dugout.
