Southeastern renews sports co-ops with Central High School

AUGUSTA — The Southeastern school board convened their monthly meeting on Monday night, May 16, to take care of some customary business as a kick-off for the summer break.

On summer hirings, the target was to set up summer custodial help for the two school buildings. In that regard, Cheryl Perry and Sara Eifert received approval to serve as part-time custodial help.

Also on the night’s agenda, the board considered the renewal of three sports co-operatives with Central High School. Girls basketball, wrestling, and track received consideration. All three were renewed for the 2022-2023 and 2024 school years.

Four substitute bus drivers were also approved for the 2022-2023 school year. Those were Chad Griswold, Bryan Schullian, Matthew Zaehringer and Derek Vail.

Also receiving attention, Jeffrey Totten was approved as volunteer assistant football coach for the 2022-2023 school year.

In one additional significant piece of business, the board approved to advertise for bids for milk, bread, and fuel.
