The World Cup play-off final which will be contested between Wales and either Scotland or Ukraine will be made available to all UK viewers after ITV secured the rights to broadcast the game following a deal with rights holders Sky.

The clash at the Cardiff City Stadium will take place on Sunday, June 5 and will now be on free-to-air TV, with the game being broadcast on ITV in England, S4C in Wales and STV in Scotland.

It will allow all supporters from Wales and Scotland to fully get behind their team, with Steve Clarke's side needing to beat Ukraine in next Wednesday's final World Cup qualifier to book their spot in the play-off final.

The game will also still be shown on Sky Sports. 

The winner of the crucial encounter in Cardiff will book their spot at this winter's World Cup, where one nation will join England, Iran and USA in Group B of the Qatar showpiece.

'The deal with Sky Sports will bring fans of the Home Nations the chance to watch their team progress to the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which we hope our viewers will enjoy.'

Meanwhile, England's Nations League clash away to Italy in September will take place at the San Siro, the reigning European champions have announced.

The two sides meet next month at Molineux in a game that will be played behind closed doors following the trouble in and around Wembley as Italy beat England on penalties to win Euro 2020 last summer.

The Three Lions have four Nations League Group A3 fixtures in June, facing Hungary in Budapest - again in an empty stadium - before travelling to Munich to play Germany.

Two games will then be hosted in Wolverhampton as the reverse fixture with Hungary follows on from the Italy clash.

The remaining two group-stage ties will take place in September, with England now knowing they will face Italy in Milan on September 23 before rounding out the group against Germany at Wembley three days later.

It will be just the second time England have played at the San Siro - home of both Inter and AC Milan - following a 2-2 friendly draw in May 1939.
