News of Conte’s commitment to Tottenham will come to a major relief to the club’s supporters, who had grown concerned the Italian could leave if he felt his ambition wasn’t matched.

Key members of the squad will also be happy that Conte is staying. For instance, sources claim Harry Kane is happy and excited about the direction the team is headed under Conte.

The striker, who was intent on leaving for Manchester City last summer, is entering the final two years of his contract and while there has been no progress towards a possible extension, Kane feels much more positive about his future at the club under Conte.

Likewise, Golden Boot winner Heung-min Son will be delighted with the prospect of continuing to work with Conte.

Tottenham will complete a deal for Fraser Forster on a free transfer. The goalkeeper, who leaves Southampton next month, is understood to have already completed his medical. He will provide back-up to No 1 Hugo Lloris.
