Mrs. Barbara Lynn Woodall Mackey “Punkin”, age 75 of Southside formerly of Centre, died Thursday May 26th, 2022 at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Services will be held on Sunday May 29th, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Fairview United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Bell and Dr. George Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 until 3:00 pm at the church.
Pallbearers will be Larry Lowe, Johnny Lowe, Andy Lowe, Ken Woodall, Chris Singleton and Jon Bishop.
Mrs. Mackey was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Mackey and her parents, Jack and Sue Woodall. She was a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee but lived most of her life in Cherokee County. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church where she played the piano for many years.
She is survived by her son, Jason (Angela) Junkins, her daughter, Annie Junkins, her sister, Betty Shoemaker and six grandchildren: Chase (Alyssa) West, Brianna (Josh) Brown, Ben Junkins, Kara Junkins, Logan Junkins, Emma Junkins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund or the Fairview United Methodist Church Men’s Club.
