Wreck on Azalea, Michael Blvd. in Mobile

UPDATE 2:58 p.m.: Mobile police received a tip this morning about a suspect who had multiple warrants for their arrest at a motel on South Beltline Highway. Officers found Chanelle Rose Tolbert driving a red sedan and tried to stop her. Tolbert fled from the hotel and crashed into an uninvolved vehicle at Azalea Road and Michael Boulevard. The truck driver was taken to University Hospital for an injured shoulder. Tolbert was also taken to University Hospital with two possible broken legs. Police vehicles were damaged in the process but no officer was injured.

UPDATE 10:30 a.m.: Police on the scene confirmed that police were chasing a woman driving the red sedan when her car and a silver truck collided in the intersection of Michael and Azalea.

The man driving the silver truck was taken to a hospital for minor injuries, according to police.

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile Fire-Rescue was on scene of a wreck on Azalea and Michael Boulevard Friday morning. Mobile Police were directing traffic around the scene.

At least two people were observed on stretchers being loaded into ambulances. A red sedan was seen on the side of the road, its right side smashed.
