Jurgen Klopp Was Singing About 'Lucky' Real Madrid At 6am After Losing Champions League Final

Jurgen Klopp Was Singing About 'Lucky' Real Madrid At 6am After Losing Champions League Final

The Liverpool manager will once again come up against Real Madrid in Saturday's Champions League final.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp didn't let defeat ruin his weekend after Real Madrid lifted the Champions League in 2018.

The Reds slumped to a 3-1 defeat at the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kyiv after two goalkeeping errors from Loris Karius gifted Los Blancos their third consecutive Champions League trophy.

Karim Benzema, who will likely play a key part in Saturday's final in Paris, opened the scoring for Zinedine Zidane's side before Gareth Bale netted a brace, including that overhead kick, to seal a historic victory.

It was an evening of heartache for Liverpool and their fans.

Mohamed Salah's shoulder injury after a clash with Sergio Ramos was one of several key moments that went against Jurgen Klopp's men but rather than ponder on what could have been, Klopp was awake until the early hours of Sunday morning.

In footage that soon went viral on social media, the German was captured singing a song with his assistant Peter Krawietz and two fans at Boryspil airport.

They can be heard singing: “We saw the European Cup, Madrid had all the f***ing luck, we swear we’ll keep on being cool, we’ll bring it back to Liverpool!”

Liverpool will try and exact revenge against the La Liga champions this weekend after their defeat in 2018.

Speaking at the Football Writers' Association end of season awards, where he picked up his Footballer of the Year award, Mohamed Salah was asked if he was on a 'revenge mission' ahead of the final.

His answer certainly got Liverpool fans in the mood.

Earlier this week, Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos praised Liverpool's business in the transfer market.

"I think Liverpool is even stronger than in 2018," he told sportstudio fußball. "I think they kept their best players and some really good ones have been added again.

"They have Thiago in midfield who stands back shaping play. Overall it is going very, very well for them. I think over the entire season, maybe even the best team in Europe.

"But it’s only one game and we have showed a couple of times what we can do. We also got through last year against them in the knockout round in the quarterfinals. I can see that very clearly [it is] 50/50."

Do you think Liverpool will beat Madrid on Saturday night?
