One of the two suspects in the Taboo Nightclub shooting now has a trial date after pleading not guilty earlier this week.
Timothy Rush is now set to go to trial on March 28, 2023.
Rush is facing 15 charges connected to the largest mass shooting in Cedar Rapids' history that killed two people and injured ten others. Rush is charged with murder for the shooting death of Nicole Owens, his girlfriend and mother of his child.
Prosecutors also say he is responsible for injuring six others that night. Michael Valentine is the other person killed in the shooting on April 10. Police say 12-24 rounds were fired in the club that had an estimated 100-150 people inside.
The second suspect in the case, Dimione Walker, was arrested in Illinois about a week after the shooting. He has not been formally charged in the shooting yet. Walker waived extradition but has not been transported back to Iowa yet.
