Two prop bets for Avalanche-Blues Game 6

Happy Friday! We have just one game on the ice Friday night between the Colorado Avalanche and St. Louis Blues, Game 6 in St. Louis.

The Avalanche fell apart in Game 5 to let the Blues steal a game in overtime, and we have ourselves a series. Colorado took both games on the road in this one thus far, scoring 11 goals in those two games. The lean here is on the Avalanche winning in regulation, but we'll stick to two props in Friday's lone game.

Cale Makar assist (-135 DK)

A Cale Makar assist has been closer to -145 and -150 lately, so at this price, I'm comfortable betting it straight to win 1u.

This has been one of my favorite props all postseason, and I will continue trying to bet on it for as long as I am able.

As mentioned above, Colorado really picked up the scoring in the two road games this series, which aligns with their postseason trends. The Avalanche are averaging more goals per game on the road (5.75 per game) when skating as the visitor.

Makar figures to be involved in any scoring, as he typically is. Makar has an assist in three straight games and 10 total in nine playoff games this year.

Makar has also been more consistent on the road with his assists, recording one in 66% of games throughout this season and in every playoff game up to this point.

I trust the Avalanche's star defensemen to maintain his offensive involvement in tonight's close-out game.

Robert Thomas point (-112 FD)

In advance of Game 5, St. Louis shifted their lines around, bringing Pavel Buchnevich, Robert Thomas and Vladimir Tarasenko back together.

This was one of the hottest lines for a stretch at the tail-end of the regular season, seemingly accounting for a goal on a nightly basis.

Back together on Wednesday, this line combined for two goals and Thomas had six SOG while Tarasenko chipped in five.

Given the Blues won, I have a hard time imagining they break this trio up. If you want to be certain, you can wait until lineups are announced. I'll give an unsolicited shout-out to Lou Korac, the beat writer for the Blues who will be the first to break line news.

The Thomas point is simply picking the guy with the best odds. He had two points in Game 5, both of which were goals.

There was a stretch there in late March and April where Thomas recorded a point in 17 straight games. Paired with his old buddies again, I'm betting on a new streak forming, and we get favorable odds for exactly that.

Good luck Friday night! Just two plays for me. I prefer the Avalanche side for shots but haven't had much luck in that department given the need to make parlays with everyone so juiced. Let's cash these two bets and have ourselves a Friday night.
