Planning on enjoying a boat ride or two this holiday weekend? We have some tips for keeping everyone safe on the water so that you only have to worry about enjoying the outdoors!
-Ensure your boat is in good condition
-Make sure the legal operator has completed the Nebraska boating safety course if necessary
-Have a life jacket for each person on board (children under 13 must wear one)
-Avoid hypothermia - Even though temperatures are rising, the water still can be cold.
-Don't operate the boat under the influence of alcohol
Keep an eye out for the weather, other vessels, and potential hazards
