Will a Falcons RB rush for over 1,000 yards this season?

The Atlanta Falcons might have the most crowders Running Back room in the entire NFL, and that isn't a good thing. Along with returning Cordarrelle Patterson, Qadree Ollison, and Caleb Huntley, the Falcons drafted Tyler Allgeier, added Damian Williams and Jeremy McNichols in free agency, and slid Avery Williams from DB to RB earlier this week.

Without a clear front-runner (pun intended), Jon Chuckery and Hugh Douglas discuss the possibility that one of these guys can separate themselves and become a dominant back for the Falcons this season.

"In the last ten years the Falcons have only had two 1,000 yard rushers, when is the next time we see a thousand yard rusher for the Falcons," questions Chuckery. "I think Patterson is going to be your lead guy, they have to run the football more effectively."

"I don't think we see it this year. You've got to have that durable running back that can carry the load and I don't think that we have that guy," says Hugh Douglas. "This offense isn't going to be built like the one they had in Tennessee unless Tyler Allgeier steps up and becomes that guy."

The last two seasons where a RB went over 1,000 yards for the Falcons were both from Devonta Freeman in 2015 and 2016 (1,056 yards and 1,079 yards respectively)
