Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street star Georgia Taylor has shared details of filming Toyah and Imran Habeeb's dramatic car crash.

Next week's episodes see Toyah and Imran involved in a nasty accident as their ongoing storyline with Abi Webster finally comes to a head.

Toyah and Imran have been at odds with Abi over custody arrangements for baby Alfie. The plot takes some big twists and turns next week, culminating in Toyah and Imran crashing their car.

The week in question, which sees Corrie air across five nights, also features unusual storytelling techniques as some episodes contain flashforwards and flashbacks.

Speaking to Digital Spy and other media about filming the scenes, Georgia enthused: "It was amazing! We had a whole week on location, which is really rare.

"It was mainly Charlie [de Melo, who plays Imran] and I, and we had brilliant stunt doubles. There was an amazing stunt team – the set-up and location was fabulous.

"David Kester, who directed the episodes, has worked here and on all the soaps for years. He's hugely experienced and was so excited about it. We had stunts and drones – he threw the kitchen sink at it."

She continued: "We felt like we were doing our own little film for a week. It was Corrie, but it felt different, like an exciting short film.

"We had lengthy scenes driving around Manchester. We were driving past tram stops and had people staring at us, but by the time we'd driven round for the eighth time, they were totally over it!

"Everyone pulled together. There was a lot to do and an ambitious schedule, but we got through it. It felt exciting and a privilege to be a part of."

Georgia also opened up about how she switches off from these challenging days at work.

She said: "It's okay – I don't feel like I'm carrying emotional baggage when I get home, I'm just physically tired. They're long days and you're putting your body through a lot when you're stressed, crying, shouting or angry.

"You're finding emotions from somewhere and your heart's racing. Your body doesn't know you're faking it. This was quite physical, so there were a few bruises and bumps.

"When I'm that busy, there isn't a lot of room for anything else and you accept that for the next few weeks it's just about work. Luckily I love my job so that's okay.

"I get to bed early, rest up, eat well – all that boring stuff will hopefully carry you through. Emotionally, I hopefully feel satisfied I did a good job and worked hard, so that's a nice feeling."

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
