Death Cab for Cutie have announced a fall headlining tour which is set to stop at the Greek Theatre on Friday, October 21st. The Asphalt Meadows Tour is announced ahead of the release of their tenth studio album, Asphalt Meadows.
The rock band has been teasing their tenth studio album, set to be released on September 16th via Atlantic Records. The tour announcement was accompanied by the release of the first track off the anticipated album, “Roman Candles.” The album follows the band’s 2018 album Thank You for Today, an album that highlighted yet redefined the bands sound.
The eight-time Grammy nominated rock band is not only known for their unique sound, but also their philanthropic work and political advocacy. In 2020, the band raised over $100,000 for Fair Fight Action, a national voting rights organization. This year, the band’s frontman and vocalist Benjamin Gibbard executive produced Ocean Child: Songs of Yoko Ono, a tribute and celebration of the artists’ 89th birthday.
Death Cab for Cutie is most known for their hit songs such as “Soul Meets Body,” “I Will Follow You Into The Dark,” “I Will Possess Your Heart” and many more.
