Stephen Curry has finally won a Finals MVP… sort of. The Golden State Warriors star nabbed the first-ever Magic Johnson Western Finals MVP award. It's an incredible achievement, one that Curry is worthy of due to his outstanding performances against the Mavs. During the awarding ceremony, though, one teammate of Steph decided to poke a little fun at him.

After it was announced that Curry won the Western Conference Finals MVP award, the Warriors star was visibly laughing. Ernie Johnson would proceed to ask the star what he found funny. Stephen Curry would then reveal that Andre Iguodala just told him that he was now happy, via NBA:

For the uninitiated, this is likely in reference to the Warriors‘ 2015 championship win. In a stunning turn of events, then-sixth man Andre Iguodala won the Finals MVP over Stephen Curry. Since then, many fans have held Curry's lack of Finals MVP against him. Iggy was likely poking fun at Steph when he said this to him.

Despite the lack of Finals MVPs, Curry still has a pretty good resume for himself. He has won two regular-season MVPs (one of which was the only unanimous MVP win in NBA history), has three rings, and owns plenty of All-NBA and All-Star selections. The Warriors star should definitely be in the conversation amongst the greatest to ever step foot on the hardwood.

The road to another championship win isn't going to be easy for the Warriors. Either the Boston Celtics or Miami Heat will be a tough opponent for them due to their defenses. However, the Dubs have a game-breaking presence in Curry. If the Chef is cooking in the Finals, San Francisco will get served up a new trophy for their collection, and perhaps Curry will finally get that elusive Finals MVP.
