Glidden City Council Has Pushed Back The Completion Date For The Wastewater Plant

The Glidden City Council met on Monday and discussed distribution meter replacement at the water plant and construction extension to King Construction on the water plant improvement project. City Administrator, Brooke Peterson, says the current distribution meter at the water plant isn’t working correctly, and they are trying to get a new one.

Peterson adds that replacing the meter is not cheap, and she says it could range anywhere from $6,000 to $7,000.

The council then discussed considering an extension for King Construction on the Glidden wastewater plant project, and Peterson says they are looking at September as a new completion date.

Peterson adds the project should be completed in the early part of September. The next city council meeting is open to the public on Monday, June 6.
