A Lewisburg man was charged after he reportedly assaulted a woman and fled from police Monday morning.
Cadiz Police say 23-year-old Taylor McGehee hit a woman while she was driving and then choked her before she stopped the vehicle on Hospital Street. McGehee took her phone during the fight to stop her from calling for help and then fled on foot when police arrived.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, fourth-degree assault, first-degree strangulation, and first-degree wanton endangerment.
