Been getting back into Eastenders since Sam Mitchell arrived back recently after stopping watching around late 2017. And I am a bit confused, why are all the Slaters always at the Mitchell’s house? I know Kat’s with Phil now so her and her and her kids being there I can understand. But why are Stacey, Jean and Lily always there!? Just seems odd, so maybe I’ve missed something did they get chucked out of the Slater house, and if so why? It’s a bit disorientating as someone who used to watch tuning back in.

Because where one Slater goes the rest of them follows .

Suki finally managed to throw them all out of the old Slater house (after about a dozen failed attempts) so the entire lot of them moved in with Phil. At one point Janine was living there too! In reality Phil wouldn't have put up with any of it despite his relationship with Kat so it's a good job he knew he was on his way to prison (to be fair it's probably more peaceful there!).

I think Suki evicted them, or was going to put the rent up? But yeah, basically they come as a package deal I think.

I miss the Slaters being in their original house. Who lives there now?

I think Karen lives in the upstairs flat of the house the Slaters had originally. Downstairs flat empty.

Nobody. Or at least no one, seen on screen.
I hated them being there though It will always be Pats house to me.

ETA. Just realised you mean the house they had from 2000 to 2012? Again, not sure. I think it is flats now but not featured. Last time I'm sure it was shown was, 2015 as, Nick died there.

I know, it's ridiculous. No 55 has featured since the early 90s and was established as having 3 bedrooms, one of which was, a box room only really suitable for a child - it was, Vicky Fowlers room. Even if you assume there's been a loft conversion at some stage (and it's never been mentjoned on screen) there's still not enough room for, fairly recently, 6 adults and 7 children.

I remember a time in the not too distant past that Stacey and Martin lived in bright, pleasant flat with their children, Belinda and Stacey's brother. Jean was married to a retired policeman with a garden in Brighton and Alfie, Tommy and a quite different Kathleen (no sign of Ernie or Bert) were in Ireland. Happy days for the Slaters. Perhaps it was an alternative universe.

The Taylors live there now, well in the top flat which includes an attic room. The bottom flat was where Ted lived but is now empty.

I always think of Pats house as being the one she shared with Roy. Its now the Masoods house, but again is unoccupied.

I think there was mention of there being a fourth room, the attic was converted. Think it was when Michelle was there.

They've never mentioned a loft conversion taking place but a window can be seen in the loft from a side view of the property from outside. So I think its a safe to assume the loft is being used an extra bedroom.

It is absurd though that the Slaters all live together, Kat and Stacey each have three children, they should have their own places. There's no way they'd all live together in the real world, then you've also got Jean and Eve and until recently Scarlett as well. Its ridiculous. The house is always immaculate as well yet there's supposedly four adults and six children currently crammed in there, where is all the clutter?

@kitkat1971 On these photos you can see no 55 has sky lights. Confirms theres a room in the attic.

Although Im not sure we saw stairs leading up to it when we saw the landing the other day.

Mark renovated the house after it was underpinned or treated for subsidence. Possibly the loft was converted at the same time. When the Taylors moved in, Sharon told one of them that she lived in the big white house on the corner, which implies it had been extended or was bigger than the other mid-terrace houses.

It was renovated with the former shop next door, there is 7 bedrooms to the house.

That was probably just showing off. I dont think it was when Mark was living there, I think the conversion happened when Phil owned it and Michelle was staying there.

For some reason Roxy is in my mind too so maybe she mentioned it when she was staying there.

So many empty homes on the Show right now and still nothing from Chris Clenshaw!!

No 31, No 1 and the Masood properties all empty!

We've actually just seen a proper staircase going from the first to second floor when they are all standing outside the bathroom door.

So definately at least one bedroom up there, possibly two.
