Kickoff Times, TV Designations Set for First Three Pitt Football Games

ESPN networks will carry all of the Panthers' football games from weeks one through three.

PITTSBURGH -- The ACC and ESPN have announced kickoff times and television designations for the first three Pittsburgh Panthers football games of the 2022 season against West Virginia, Tennessee and Western Michigan.

The Panthers will ring in the new season by renewing the Backyard Brawl in primetime. The season opener vs. the Mountaineers on September 1 will begin at 7 p.m. and air nationally on ESPN. Pitt's Week 2 date with Tennessee will start at 3:30 p.m. and ABC will carry the game. In Week 3, when the Panthers travel to Kalamazoo, Michigan, they'll kick off a revenge game against the Broncos - who dealt Pitt one of its only two losses in 2021 - at 7:30 p.m. and ESPNU will handle the broadcast.

The Panthers will play within the friendly confines of Heinz Feild in weeks one and two before hitting the road in week three.

Start times and television broadcasts for the following nine regular season games will be determined on a week-to-week basis.
