The UNC football program announced kickoff times for four nationally-televised games coming up in the 2022 season.

Carolina’s opening game against Florida A&M, which will be played a week earlier than usual in what has become known around college football circles as “Week 0,” will be played at 8 p.m. in Chapel Hill and broadcast on the ACC Network. It’s the first all-time meeting between the Tar Heels and the Rattlers.

UNC’s next two games will both be on the road, with identical start times and TV channels. The Tar Heels will journey up to Boone to take on Appalachian State on September 3, in a rematch of a game from 2019 which the Mountaineers won. The game will be broadcast on ESPNU. The next week sees Carolina travel down to Atlanta to face Georgia State for the second season in a row. The Tar Heels took a 59-17 win in Kenan Stadium in 2021.

Finally, UNC’s regular-season finale against NC State has several kickoff time and television options. The game will begin either at noon, 1 p.m. or 3:30 p.m., and be broadcast either on ESPN or ABC. Final broadcast information will be released as the 2022 season progresses. No other times or broadcast partners for the season have been finalized.
